The volume presents over 800 pieces ranging from the eighteenth century to the present, with a special focus on Murano production and, in particular, on the great “creatives” of glass. The acquisition of this highly coveted collection by the Galleria Rizzarda in Feltre is in perfect continuity with the original nucleus of the museum. The wrought iron works of Carlo Rizzarda - a figure who was responsible for the birth of the Gallery, one of the most important European museums of 20th-century decorative arts - are complemented by precious glass elements from Murano manufacturers. Very rare glasses by Carlo Scarpa can also be found in his personal collection. To exhibit the glass artefacts purchased together with his wife Carla Nasci in over thirty years of collecting passion, Franzoia has created a “whimsical” itinerary, along the lines of the qualitative and personal taste choices that inspired the genesis of the collection, letting himself be guided by empathy, assonances, emotions and memories.
