Born in 1940, Pierre Godet graduated from the School of Fine Arts in Rouen. Initially part of a family transport business, he decided in 1983 to devote himself solely to painting. An intuitive draftsman, the artist composes scenes of daily life: beaches, terraces, markets and lively streets in all seasons, his paintings making you want to stroll, dream, revel in the present moment. The Norman painter seeks to capture the atmospheres, lights and rhythms of each landscape. Godet's prodigious oeuvre is exhibited in many French, European and international museums and cultural spaces and is represented in private collections around the world.
